Horita Family Papers
The Horita Family Papers (1940-2010, undated) collection contains 2.6 linear feet of documents from the Horita family, a Japanese American family from the Los Angeles area. The collection focuses on married couple Chitoshi “Harry” Horita (1896-1990) and Marue Nakashima Horita (1901-1982) and their extended family and includes records of the family’s incarceration at the Poston (Colorado River) incarceration camp, research into the family’s history, photographs, and correspondence.
Ikemi Family Photographs
This collection includes seventy digitized photographs documenting the life of the Ikemi family before, during, and after World War II. Images in the collection include photographs of friends and family of the Ikemi family, including June and Julie Sugimoto, and incarcerated Japanese Americans at the Poston Incarceration Camp.
Tsugitada Kanamori Collection
This collection contains one box of documents belonging to Tsugitada Kanamori. Materials in this collection mostly pertain to Kanamori’s efforts regarding cancelling his renunciation and reinstating his American citizenship. This collection has been digitized and is available online.
Kuwahara Family Papers
This collection documents the Kuwahara family's time at the Poston incarceration camp in Arizona during World War II. Materials include: newsletters from the schools and community in Poston's camp, photographs of the people incarcerated at the camp and the desert landscape, watercolor paintings of the camp facilities, and programs and booklets from the reunions of the Poston camp families. Some of the items in this collection have been digitized and available online.
George and Mitzi Naohara Papers
This collection contains photo albums and scrapbooks compiled by George Naohara and Mitzi (Masukawa) Naohara, other materials depicting their experiences during World War II and the Korean War, the postwar camp reunion and pilgrimage, and the Gardena Buddhist Church activities in which George Naohara engaged after the war. Most of the items in this collection have been digitized and available online.
Takahashi Family Papers
Tawa Family Letters
The collection consists of mainly letters to Sukegoro and Chiyoko Tawa from their family and friends between the 1920s and 1960s. Also included are wartime documents issued during the Tawas' incarceration and copies of Sukegoro Tawa's case file as well as family and friends' portraits, and haiku poems.

Kiyoko Maeda Yoshioka Photographs
The Kiyoko Maeda Yoshioka photographs collection (1916-1990, bulk 1937-1941) includes digital reproductions of family photographs primarily documenting the life of Kiyoko Maeda Yoshioka in the years before, during, and after World War II. The collection also includes digital reproductions of a short essay written by Hatsuko Mary Yoshioka Higuchi, redress papers, and a handout from a sewing class at Poston Incarceration Camp. All materials in this collection are digital reproductions.
